I finally made it to Australia to commence my wine adventures Down Under. They start in an amazing location – Cedars Mount View in the Hunter Valley. New friends Jenny and Ray gave us an amazing welcome to the luxury cabins. We got to the hunter via helicopter from Sydney… simply amazing!

One of the things I love most about travel is finding out what the locals are eating and drinking. So, on my way back from Angkor Wat, I asked our tour guide, and his response… Well, actually I couldn’t understand him that well, so he just ended up taking us to a Rice Wine Factory, and I got the point. Not bad stuff – but let me tell you, I didn’t finish the bottle (which is odd for me). LOL.

After 10 long days of wineless travel (or at least should have been wineless travel) through Thailand, I stumbled upon the majestic, wonderful, kind, and English speaking world of Cambodia. Cambodia, thankfully for me, was occupied by the French, who left a wine culture behind. I’ve only been here a few hours, but already I’ve settled into some amazing cuisine and a wonderful Sauv Blanc… Ironically called “Attitude.” Its a Frenchie, and fantastic!
